Googlebot Heading for disaster

Google provide some free tools for checking over your website and seeing how Google see your site. However, recently a third of entries on Google's WebMaster Tool. Having checked over 300 entries to determine the fault is with Google, or rather the fact that one of the Googlebot's does not provide correct header information and therefore returns an error.
On whitelisting the Ip address for the Googlebot, the site pickup and been running and at last is nearly complete.
So if you see parts of your website not being crawled correctly by Google, maybe it is not you.
