Google Manipulates Search Results
Over the last couple of weeks, we have added 2000 products to our sales site. Once the index was released to Google and Bing, a sharp increase of impressions was noticed, from about 400-500 impressions, up to over 8000 impressions, followed by two days of about 4000 each, then from down to about the 1000 or so, we normally see with products.
Obviously this caught them off guard, until they had time to notice and react. This also explains why the search providers continually look for previous pages, so they can prevent the natural number of impressions to be available, if a page previous seen, is removed and then re-added.
No doubt this will have something to do with allowing Ad-Word and Ad-Sense, some value. But shows that the natural listings are controlled, therefore they are not natural.
