How to set-up BullGuard, so that you get the best from it?
Start by going into the Main BullGuard - Overview screen and select Settings
Then select Advanced Tab and change the Update frequency, Check every: value to 1 hour.
It is also worth creating a schedule for scanning your machine, at minimum of weekly. This can be done, by clicking on the Scan tab, click on Schedule and tick the Schedule this scan box and select a time and date and frequency.
Now on to the Firewall, on the left. Change the radio button to Advanced. Click on the OK button of the window that appears. This will make a new tab appear across the top. Select the new tab called Profiles. Double click on Custom Security. Select the last tab, Notifications. Select the second radio button, called Slightly allow all applications. Then de-select Display a security notification. Click OK. Then Click Activate. Close BullGuard.
Now you should set-up a backup of your data, click on Backup and select New Backup. Choose if you want emails or files. Select the next tab and say where you would like your backup to be held. Then selecting the next tab select when your backup should take place. Then, finally select synchronisation, compression, encryption and versioning.
